This past Saturday, I read one of the essays submitted in consideration for our 2017 scholarship awards. The applicant said she was feeling a new directive from God, encouraging her to find ways that she could help combat human trafficking. The next morning, I attended worship service in Colorado Springs and was emotionally moved by guest speakers at Rocky Mountain Calvary. A husband and wife talked about their personal experience with trafficking. Then the couple introduced three organizations that all provide crucial services to traumatized victims of this horrendous cruelty.
It’s times like these that convince me there are no coincidences. When events are connected to one another, I see God at work. By giving out small bits of information, a little at a time, and exposing us to certain people when the moments are just right, God guides us toward situations that He wants us to be a part of. As we pay attention to His messages and follow His lead, we’re flooded with ideas and inspiration for our day to day living. We develop new-found talents and establish relationships that help us honor and glorify Him.
Remembering Janet accepts applications for scholarship annually. Although we can’t give an award to everyone who applies, please know we appreciate the personal stories that are shared. They show us many ways God’s objectives are being achieved.
Thank you to all applicants for using your time and talents to inspire relationships with Christ.
